Pickled Cucumbers

Ingredients:
- 3 pounds (approx.) of small pickled cucumbers, unpeeled, well washed
- 3 dill sprigs
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 tablespoon whole cloves
- 5 whole star anise
- 1 tablespoon whole black peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon ground turmeric
- 5 cups water
- 1 cup rice vinegar
- 1 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1/2 cup salt
Instructions:
For medium-bitter dill pickles, pack the cucumbers into a 6-cup sterilized glass jar. Add the remaining ingredients. Seal tightly and let sit for at least 2 weeks before consuming.
